In Munich there’s a Hofbräuhaus... and now there are two, even if they are very different. Although the famous Hofbräuhaus in Munich's old town was the “godfather” as it were for the Hofbräuhaus in the airport, the delicious Hofbräu beers are served in both.
Our Hofbräuhaus in the airport sees itself as more of a mixture between the two Kuffler restaurants “Spatenhaus an der Oper” and “Haxnbauer im Scholastikahaus”. Furnished with high quality, original old wood panelling it combines three pavilions that owe their standing and style to patined brass. Partially open at the top and sides, the juxtaposition of the ultra-modern glass and steel construction in the terminal and the warm tones and material in the Hofbräuhaus create an interesting and atmospheric contrast.
The seats along the gallery ideally capture the international feeling of the airport. Separated by only parapet-high panes of glass, visitors enjoy a view of the comings and goings at the check-in desks one floor below.
Munich cuisine at its finest is served here. |
